Landmark's E-Signature is a capture solution that is system independent by design, it will work with any core processor. A plug-and-play enhancement to your current application, E-Signature functions by merging the signature image with the document image, thereby making the two images one inseparable tiff image. E-Signature allows people to sign electronic documents with a handwritten signature, and permanently embed signatures in documents. Landmark's E-Signature acts as a virtual printer, allowing print streams to be captured via TCP/IP printing. During transactions, a print stream of the original computer-generated document is captured and a view is presented for adding signatures. A pen-based signature pad electronically captures a handwritten signature. Once approved and finalized, the indexed data is captured and the signed e-document is filed into an image repository. At this point the signature has been permanently "burned" into the document and cannot be altered, removed or transferred to another document.
