What is a CD business card? It is a business card sized CD rom, replicated the same way and with the same quality materials of a standard CD-ROM.

How does it work if it isn't round? The card fits in the inner tray of a standard CD Rom. These cards will not play in an autoloading cd player or Car Cd player

What is the size of the card? The card can be created in many custom shapes but the most popular size is the CD Business Card measuring 58mm x 80mm in diameter.

How much information can the card hold? The CD Business Card holds approx 40 MB The Recordable Cards holds 40MB & 185MBs.

What does that translate into? The 40mb CD Business Card holds a minimum of 3 ½ minutes of video. We have seen as much as 100 minutes of interactive presentation in 40 MB.

Why the variation in time of content? It depends on what the client desires and in what format the information is presented. The minimum time is based on full video e.g. a movie clip or TV commercial. The maximum time is based on interactive presentation in Shockwave Flash.

Can the content be text based? Yes, if that is what the client desires. For example, if a client wishes to distribute a training manual to a large group. This text could be placed on a CD-card and mailed to each person in a very cost-effective manner. Another example: The makers of a new prescription medication would like to give their presentation to busy doctors. We could place a one-minute commercial on the card along with all of the medical notes and information.

What kind of art is on the front of the card? This is a silkscreen process and may include up to four colors plus white. What this means is that the client has the option of a white background and up to four colors in addition. If the client does not specify "plus white" the background will be silver.

What information may I supply for the art and content? This is entirely up to you the client. You can submit material in virtually any format. From as little information as "here is my current business card and my brochure", to as much as "here is my art in PhotoShop and my complete video in Shockwave."

I want to produce the art and content "in house". What are the finished specifications? The cover art needs to be supplied with PMS colors in an .EPS file with its native file and a copy of all fonts. This may be placed on a CD-R a zip or e-mailed. A full color print also needs to be supplied. The content should have an auto-run program so that the CD-card will play automatically. It also must have the programming included for ease of playback. The content must be on a CD-R. We will test the CD-R prior to press to ensure quality playback. All of these requirements must be met for the client to receive the standard pricing.

What are the minimum requirements of a computer for the performance of the CD-card? It depends on the programming. Generally speaking this card is for the PC. If the PC has a CD-ROM drive and Windows 95, 98 or NT it will work. If the client wants the card programmed for Windows 3x users, this may also be arranged.

What is the manufacturing lead-time? It is three to four weeks.

What is the total production time? From order placement to delivery three to five weeks. But if you need it quicker we will definitely work with you.

Are the cards scratch resistant? Yes. The same is true with most CDs.

Can I purchase sleeves for the CD-card? We recommend clear sleeves for all cards purchased.

How much does the CD-card weigh? About half the weight of a CD-Rom
