1. Is the game piece going to be decoded online or offline?

IF OFFLINE:
Make sure the game piece will have instructions on which location to visit – for the example below the instructions read, “Stop by booth #1302.”

IF ONLINE:
The game piece will need to have instructions on which website to visit – for the example below the instructions read “visit us at www.westerngeneral.com.” That is where the contestants will go to play the game.

2. What will the hidden messages be?
Winner/Try again? Grand Prize/2nd prize? Keep messages short so that they will easily fit in the decoder window (5-6 letters per inch is the maximum text permitted). Remember, your hidden messages will be printed in BIG BLOCK LETTERS so they’ll be easy to read when decoding.

This sample below shows what the hidden message will look like when decoded. You don’t have to have the tried and true WIN/LOSE messages ~ it’s your program, have fun with it!

3. What will the wavy word be?
The scrambled message is made up of different colors and words woven together. This is called the “wavy word”, and is yours to choose. Most popular choices are the name of the company, and the website location. When you’ve decided what the wavy word is to be, just let us know and we’ll do the rest!

Wavy word is
"ORKIN COMPANY STORE"

4. How many of each message will you print?
Are you going to have one grand prize winner and all the rest say TRY AGAIN? Will every piece have the same message? Or maybe there will be a tier system with one grand prize, five 1st place prizes, 100 2nd place prizes, etc.

NOTE: The number or hidden messages included depends on how many pieces are going to be printed. The table below will help you determine whether or not you will need extra messages.

1M – 50M – Up to 2 messages included
51M – 500M – Up to 3 messages included
501M – 1MM – Up to 5 messages included
1.1MM – 20MM – Up to 10 messages included
